Goa Vidyaprasarak Mandal is always eager to spread its wings in Higher Education with a view to give its benefits to as wide section of people as possible. Therefore immediately after it started its Commerce College in Ponda, it was looking for opportunities to start other courses to benefit the student community of Ponda. When it was convinced that it had built an independent College Building, the Management began to put its foot forward in offering additional courses to the students. Thus it was thought that with onset of I.T. era, a similar course on the lines of I. T. will prepare the students better in terms of their future employability and careers. Thus the College took the lead in starting the B.C.A. Course in its new building in the year 2002-03. This not only minimised the hardships of the students going elsewhere but also gave them an additional avenue to choose from.

The rationale and wisdom of starting the course is proved beyond doubt with increased number of students wanting to seek admission year after year for the Course.
